It’s pretty bad for a Republican President when dedicated Republican media mouthpiece Fox News has its reporters slamming them for their actions.
This surreal turn of events occurred again recently when Trump’s move to ban certain outlets from a White House press conference prompted Fox News reporter Shepard Smith to call Trump out for this move.
Shep Smith threw shade at the fact that Trump’s White House has “frozen out media organizations that president Trump has blasted as ‘fake news,’” instead deciding to choose “hand-picked outlets to cover the briefing.” Smith trashed Trump for stating news critical of him must be fake news. Said Shep on his program, “Fake news refers to stories that are created by entities pretending to be news organizations solely to draw clicks and views that are solely based on nothing of substance. In short, fake news is made-up nonsense delivered for financial gain. CNN’s reporting was not fake news.”
She’s comments continued in the vein of previous statements on his show, where he said about Trump, “He says Russia is a ruse, it’s fake news. The leaks are real, but the news is fake. So, that’s impossible. It’s very confusing,” later adding, “It’s crazy what we’re watching every single day. It’s absolutely crazy.” Continued Smith, “He keeps repeating ridiculous throwaway lines that are not true at all and sport of avoiding this issue of Russia as if we’re some kind of fools for asking the question. Really? We’re fools for asking the questions? No sir, we are not fools for asking the questions. And we demand to know the answer to this question. And you call us fake news and you put us down like children for asking these questions for the American people. The people deserve this answer, at the very least.” Do you agree with this conservative reporter about Trump? Watch below:
