Donald Trump’s inauguration is just a few weeks away and he’s having a hard time booking performers for the event.
After lots of begging, it seems that the Beach Boys may play at the event. Back in September, founding Beach Boy Mike Love told a publication that the Beach Boys would be open to playing at the event.
Love told Page Six, “He’s been a friend for a long time. Does that mean I agree with everything he says? No. But . . . if we were asked [to play his inauguration], I’m sure that we would.”
A spokesperson for the band confirmed that the band had been invited. But that they were only considering the invitation.
“The Beach Boys have been asked to perform as part of the inauguration festivities. But no decision has been made at this point as to how or whether they will participate. We will let you know as soon as a decision is final.”
According to the Wrap, the Trump’s team have gotten so desperate that they have allegedly offered political appointments and ambassadorships to talent agents who were capable of booking A-listers for the inauguration.
‘They said they were in the process of “figuring out posts, ambassadorships and commissions” if that was of any interest.”
How pathetic is Donald Trump?
