Trump is just a big idiot. There’s no doubt about it. It’s why there are so many people organizing and building strong coalitions against him, which you can read about and join in on here. It’s important to resist him however possible, and Americans need to keep this in mind.
And today he held his first quasi-press conference, addressing the Russian hacking stuff. It went horribly, here are some excerpts: “I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what is going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but I’m not sure we have the kind the security we need. But I have not spoken with the senators and I will certainly will be over a period of time.”
“So we had to get very, very tough on cyber and cyber warfare. It is a huge problem. I have a son—he’s 10 years old. He has computers. He is so good with these computers. It’s unbelievable. The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough. And maybe, it’s hardly doable. But I will say, we are not doing the job we should be doing. But that’s true throughout our whole governmental society. We have so many things that we have to do better, Lester. And certainly cyber is one of them.”
“It’s a great business — I’m going to have nothing to do with it, I don’t have to because as you know I wouldn’t have to do that by law but I want to do that because I want to focus on the country. But, when I ran, people know I have a very big business, they elected me I guess partially for that reason.”
