Sean Spicer, who was famously destroyed in a classic Saturday Night Live sketch starring Melissa McCarthy, has somehow kept his job as White House press secretary, and continues to dig himself further and further down in a hole defending Trump.
Sean Spicer recently tweeted his complaint that the New York Times did not get his birthplace right in a recently article, and CNN’s Jake Tapper shredded him with the perfect response about Spicer’s awful boss.
Tweeted the famously whiny Spicer, who appears to share the same type of thin skin as President Donald Trump, “For the record @nytimes @grynbaum can’t even get where I was born right and failed to ask.” Jake Tapper did not take long to note how hypocritical Spicer’s statement was, tweeting in response, “I imagine it must be really annoying when someone puts out false info about where you were born. Must really bother you!! cc @BarackObama“. Ouch! Then-President Obama was, of course, subjected to a protracted “birther” inquisition by Donald Trump, in which Trump began to make a name for himself politically in far right conservative circles by asserting that Obama was foreign born and thus an illegitimate President. Even pledged Trump at the time, “Now, I have a deal for the President. … If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications, and if he gives his passport applications and records, I will give to a charity of his choice — inner city children in Chicago, American Cancer Society, AIDS research, anything he wants, a check, immediately, for $5 million.” Are you happy Tapper took Spicer down?
