As you may have read, the Conservative legislatures have been neglecting their duties in an effort to hide their shameful faces from angry American’s who feel betrayed. One of these responsibilities is holding town halls.
However, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is calling out the cowards of his party by saying that Republican lawmakers should grow up and hold town halls even if that means confronting hundreds of angry liberal constituents.
In fact, Christie told CNN:
“Welcome to the real world of responsibility.”
Christie issued this bashing just a week after massive crowds turned up at GOP town halls to protest President Donald Trump and Conservative efforts to repeal the Obamacare.
Christie went on to suggest that the attendees are “professional protesters,” which he defined as those wearing the same shirts and carrying pre-made signs, comparing them to teachers’ unions that criticized him in New Jersey.
Christie said, when speaking about the protesters:
“You’ve got to work through that. You’ve got to stand up, let them yell themselves out.”
As Governor of New Jersey, Christie said he has held more than 160 town halls during his tenure.
Christie feels that because the GOP now control the House, the Senate and the White House, they’ve gotten what they have always wanted. Christie went on to say that now they have to accept the consequences, which includes angry protesters at town halls.
“I understand why members of Congress don’t like it. But you know what? You asked for the job. Go do it,” Christie said.
If the GOP knew they were doing right, why would they be so afraid to face the voters?
