There’s been all kinds of uproar about Trump’s inability to get anyone to perform at his inauguration, and frankly it’s pretty hilarious. However, there has been all kinds of resistance even from groups that were booked to perform, like the Rockettes and now even the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

That’s why this kind of thing raises awareness and helps people to organize and build coalitions against Trump, as you can see in this viral progressive article. It is quite possible, plausible, and commendable to resist Trump, and if you want to be part of that you should read this now.

But one Mormon woman has quit the choir in order to not have to sing at Trump’s ianuguration! As she posted, “Tyranny is now on our doorstep; it has been sneaking its way into our lives through stealth.” She went on to say “I only know I could never ‘throw roses to Hitler.’ And I certainly could never sing for him.”

“The Church’s participation will harm this spectacularly talented and beloved choir’s image, misrepresent the diversity of Mormons worldwide, and sends the wrong message to LDS children as they will perceive the Church’s participation as endorsement of a president whose words and actions do not align with our values,” the petition reads.

If you want to support the effort to resist and stop Trump, make it your New Years Resolution like thousands of progressives have by taking this incredible grassroots call to action! It can and will change the world and you should be part of it.
