During Trump’s speech at CPAC 2017, the President branded the Washington Post’s story as an example of the media’s bias against him and his administration.

‘There are no nine people. I don’t believe there was one or two people. And I said, “Give me a break,” because I know the people. I know who they talk to. There were no nine people. But they say nine people. And somebody reads it and they think, “Oh, nine people, they have nine sources.” They make up sources. They’re very dishonest people.’

Then, on Friday, the Washington Post spoke out against President Trump’s claims that their reporting on former national security adviser Micheal Flynn was fake news.

Shortly after, WaPo’s editor, Martly Baron, released a statement rebutting Trump’s absurd claims and standing by his paper’s find reporting.

‘Everything we published regarding Gen. Flynn was true, as confirmed by subsequent events and on-the-record statements from administration officials themselves. The story led directly to the general’s dismissal as national security adviser. Calling press reports fake doesn’t make them so.’

Trump’s comments regarding WaPo are just the latest example of his ongoing feud with the freedom of press in America, which he has been attacking since his campaign began. Which is exactly what dictator do.

Trump’s war with the media is especially troubling in light of his administration’s claims on “alternative facts.”

Luckily for us though, these renowned publications are unwilling to back down against the tyrant that is Donald Trump.
